Pros
- Square body genuinely cleans corners better than round robots
- Fully retractable mop (15mm lift) + 60°C hot water wash + hot air drying
- AIVI 3D 2.0 obstacle avoidance handles cables and pet waste well
- 8,000 Pa suction with dual roller brushes for pet hair
- Slimmer dock footprint than Roborock's RockDock Ultra
Cons
- Higher profile (3.9 in LiDAR recess) misses some low furniture
- Single extending mop arm vs. Roborock's dual arms
- App navigation less polished; occasional map alignment issues
Who Should Buy This
- Homes with lots of 90° corners and baseboard-heavy layouts
- Users who want a slimmer all-in-one dock
- Pet owners needing strong hair pickup on mixed floors
Our Verdict
The Deebot X2 Omni proves square robots have a real advantage for corner cleaning. Its OMNI station is more compact than Roborock's, and the 15mm mop lift is class-leading. But the taller LiDAR module limits low-clearance access, and the single extending arm can't match Roborock's dual-arm edge coverage. At $1,499, it's a compelling alternative if the square form factor fits your home.
